Home Care Instructions - Night Guards

  • Wear your appliance every night! It won’t protect your teeth if it is on your dresser.
  • It may take a few weeks to get used to it – excessive saliva and removing the appliance are a normal part of this process.
  • Keep your appliance away from pets – dogs love to chew on them.
  • Let us know if you develop any bite changes or if significant discomfort occurs in your jaw joint/muscles.
  • Care Instructions: Rinse your appliance with water after use. Brush with your toothbrush and mouth rinse (consistent use of toothpaste will wear the plastic). Use a dental acrylic (denture) cleaner 1-2 times per month to remove visible build-up.
  • Bring your appliance to your dental cleanings and we will clean it in our ultrasonic for you!
